Tell us a bit about your background and your projects so far.
I am the founder of Bella Posture Wear, where I create premium, Made-in-New-York posture-corrective garments from non-toxic fabrics that blend style, comfort, and wellness. My work focuses on supporting posture, nervous system balance, mind-body alignment, and overall body awareness. Beyond product development, I educate women about the importance of posture and movement as part of holistic wellness and lead research, design, and community initiatives to ensure our products meet lifestyle needs. My mission is to help women thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally through everyday posture support.
How did you get into this industry? Has it been an easy industry to get into or have you had many challenges?
I entered wearable health tech out of a personal passion for wellness and the belief that women deserve support, not correction. It has not been easy: designing garments that are functional, stylish, and made from non-toxic fabrics required extensive research, prototyping, and testing. Educating consumers about the importance of posture, mind-body alignment, and everyday wellness has been a challenge, but persistence and creativity allowed me to innovate successfully. I am proud that Bella Posture Wear is made in New York, reflecting both local craftsmanship and quality standards.
How long did it take you to be where you are now? What was the biggest obstacle? What are the challenges of being in the industry you are in?
It took several years of research, prototyping, and testing to develop Bella Posture Wear’s current garments. The biggest obstacle was designing a product women would wear consistently—balancing alignment support, comfort, and style. Challenges include raising awareness about posture as a key wellness tool, educating consumers on its benefits, and differentiating in the growing health-tech market. Bella Posture Wear is a wellness tool, designed to encourage alignment, body awareness, and movement as part of a holistic health routine, making posture support accessible, practical, and enjoyable.
What are your biggest achievements to date?
My achievements center on bridging innovative wellness solutions with evidence-based heart health advocacy. I successfully launched Bella Posture Wear’s flagship line of intelligent posture garments, which have earned media recognition for their approach to posture correction through proprioceptive guidance and neuroplastic adaptation. Designed for daily wear, the garments help rewire neuromuscular patterns, restore accurate sensory feedback, reduce postural strain, enhance spinal stability, and foster a confident, natural stance.
What drives me most is the real-world impact: helping women reclaim confidence, move more easily, and feel grounded in their bodies. Users report better posture, reduced neck, shoulder, and back tension, deeper breathing, and a greater sense of control and vitality.
This aligns with my AHA work, where I advocate for lifestyle factors such as physical activity, reduced sedentary behavior, and overall wellness to combat heart disease—the #1 killer of women (1 in 3 deaths annually). Bella Posture Wear supports this indirectly by promoting fuller diaphragmatic breathing, improved oxygenation (poor posture can reduce lung capacity by up to 30%), and efficient heart function. By addressing modern lifestyle challenges like prolonged sitting and forward head posture, Bella provides practical tools for alignment, mind-body wellness, and long-term health.
What are the projects you are currently working on?
I’m focused on expanding Bella Posture Wear’s product line, refining garments for comfort and functionality, and developing educational initiatives around posture and wellness. I’m especially excited about our upcoming crop top version, offering lighter, versatile support for warmer seasons or active lifestyles. I am also exploring collaborations to reach more women, particularly those who are menopausal or post-menopausal and experiencing posture changes and tension.
Is the #WomenInTech movement important to you and if yes, why?
Yes, the #WomenInTech movement is deeply important to me. It highlights the need for women to lead, innovate, and be recognized in tech-driven industries. Bella addresses a critical gap in women’s health tech by targeting posture changes from hormonal shifts—an area ripe for innovation and visibility. A growing segment of our users are menopausal and post-menopausal women experiencing posture changes, chronic tension, and discomfort from desk work and lifestyle. Supporting women in tech means creating visibility, mentorship, and inspiration for innovators developing wellness solutions that meet real needs.
What will be the key trends in your industry in the next five years and where do you see them heading?
Key trends in wearable health tech will center on personalized posture solutions and garments that become natural extensions of everyday wellness. I see the industry evolving toward truly holistic, preventive health tools that elegantly combine fashion, function, and data-informed insights. A major focus will be on healthy, non-toxic fabrics, given how chemicals in conventional materials can penetrate the skin during sweat and disrupt endocrine function. More than ever, consumers will demand garments that support authentic alignment, body awareness, and long-term vitality—while staying stylish, comfortable, and safe.
What is the most important piece of advice you could give to anyone who wants to start a career in this industry?
Focus on solving real problems with empathy, prioritize product quality and safety, and never compromise on integrity. I would never sell a garment I would not personally approve of or wear. Treat people the way you would like to be treated. Persistence, creativity, and understanding the user’s lifestyle are key to thriving in wearable health tech.
