Smart Clothing Against Period Pain – Artemis Bodysuit Launches This November

For millions of women, period pain is more than a monthly inconvenience – it is a debilitating condition that interrupts work, study, and everyday life. Yet despite its prevalence, meaningful solutions remain limited, often reduced to medication with side effects, disposable patches, or bulky medical devices.

For Anna Kormos, co-founder and CEO of Artemis, this reality was personal.
“All my life I have struggled with severe period pain. Sometimes it was so unbearable that I couldn’t study, work, or simply live my everyday life,” she recalls.

Anna’s professional life as a fashion designer and researcher gave her a unique perspective. For years she studied how smart textiles and wearable technologies could serve daily needs, bridging the gap between fashion and function. During her doctoral research she came to a striking realisation: what for her was a painful, daily struggle was in fact a universal issue affecting millions of women across the globe. Yet there were almost no innovative, side-effect-free solutions.

Alongside co-founder Dóra Pelczer, Artemis took shape. Dóra, now COO, had long believed that women’s health deserves more recognition.
“I have always believed that women’s health deserves more attention. For me, Artemis is not just a product but a mission: to give women back control over their bodies and their cycles,” she explains.

The Birth of Artemis

In 2020, Anna and Dóra made a decision: to channel their expertise and determination into a wearable device that could transform the experience of period pain. Their vision was clear – something discreet, comfortable, and rooted in science, offering both instant relief and long-term awareness of the menstrual cycle.

The result is the Artemis Bodysuit – the world’s first smart bodysuit, combining clinically proven heat therapy and micro-vibrations within a sleek, everyday garment.

The system is designed in three parts:

  • The bodysuit, crafted from natural, hypoallergenic fabrics, machine-washable and wearable all day.

  • The device, a small rechargeable module offering ten levels of heat and multiple vibration patterns.

  • The app, available on iOS and Android, enabling full control of the therapy settings while also offering cycle tracking, a pain diary, and personalised wellbeing tips.

The results have been striking. In beta testing, 100% of women reported instant pain relief, with 40% noting improvements in other common symptoms such as bloating or leg pain.

Why Artemis Stands Apart

Artemis is not a pill. It is not a disposable patch. Nor is it a complicated medical machine. Instead, it feels like an ordinary garment – only it quietly eases pain, empowers women with data about their bodies, and encourages greater awareness of menstrual health.

For Anna, Artemis represents something she always wished for but never had.
“For me, Artemis means calm: the sense of safety I longed for as a teenager but never had,” she reflects.

For Dóra, the significance is broader.
“For me, it’s about women’s health finally receiving the attention it deserves – delivered with design, technology, and dignity,” she says.

Milestones and Global Recognition

In just a few years, Artemis has captured international attention. The project has been showcased at some of the world’s leading innovation and FemTech events, including:

  • FemTech Lab Accelerator programme in London

  • Forbes Women Summit in Budapest

  • ViennaUP’22 in Vienna

  • Fermata Femtech Fes in Tokyo

  • Women’s Health Innovation & Inventions in Tel Aviv

Each milestone has reinforced the relevance of Artemis: a solution born from personal experience, validated by science, and embraced by a growing global community of innovators, investors, and women demanding change.

The Next Chapter: Crowdfunding Launch

On 4th November, Artemis takes its next major step: launching to the international market through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. For the first time, early supporters will be able to try the world’s first smart bodysuit and join a movement redefining women’s health.

Looking further ahead, Artemis is preparing to scale up manufacturing, pursue medical device certification, and enrich its app with community and educational features that build connection and awareness.

More Than a Product: A Social Impact

Beyond the technology, Artemis challenges a longstanding social taboo. For decades, menstruation has rarely been spoken about openly. Period pain has often been dismissed or trivialised. Artemis sends a different message: menstruation is natural, pain is treatable, and women’s health is a priority.

By normalising conversation and offering a dignified solution, Artemis stands at the intersection of design, health, and social change.

Join the Movement

Artemis is more than a product launch – it is a call to action. By supporting the crowdfunding campaign, early adopters are not only the first to access a groundbreaking innovation, but also part of a broader mission to give women back control over their bodies and their wellbeing.
