From FabLittleBag to HyGeeni: The Birth of The FabBagCo

Every great idea starts with a question. For the FabBagCo, it was: why should anyone feel awkward or restricted because they don’t have a dignified way to dispose of personal products? From the very beginning, the company's mission has been to transform awkward moments into confident experiences, whether it’s period products, incontinence pads, catheter bags, or ostomy bags.

FabBagCo’s founder Martha’s approach is all about evolution. She had the Eureka moment;  she figured out if and how to bring that to life, how to make it grow. She would say it’s about learning, adapting, and always being open to feedback. FabBagCo's company journey started with a personal experience for Martha, but the reality that her experience was shared by millions of others built a community. It is the feedback from that community that has driven change and adaptation and new innovation.

Listening Led to Innovation: The Birth of HyGeeni

Fabbers who share their stories, needs, and challenges with the FabBagCo have driven change within the world of Fab. Take FabLittleBag, which was created to solve the problem of period product disposal. Martha was a tampon user, so at first, that was what her focus was on, and the bag size was designed with tampons in mind. Then came a customer request: ” Please can you make FabLittleBag bigger, it’s not quite big enough for my pads”, so she made FabLittleBag a bit bigger. 

Then came a conversation with a FabLittleBag user Ali, that sparked something entirely new. She told Martha about the daily challenges she faced, needing to dispose of her catheters. She proceeded to open Martha’s eyes to a whole world where people are managing life with catheters and ostomy bags, but where there was no fit-for-purpose disposal option. There was no dignity. That moment of listening led us to develop HyGeeni, our plant-based, odour-sealing, one-handed disposal bag for stoma and incontinence needs.

From FabLittleBag to HyGeeni: The Birth of The FabBagCo

With two innovative solutions, FabLittleBag and HyGeeni, it became clear that FabBagCo's company purpose was bigger than any single product. FabBagCo is not just a period product company or an incontinence solution; it’s the disposal bag company that helps people handle life’s awkward disposal moments with confidence, wherever they are, whatever their needs. To live life without limits.
