Meet 25 companies innovating in fertility tech

Around 1 in 7 couples in the UK have difficulty conceiving. Fertility has become a global reproductive health issue, but it still remains taboo. The stigma around it prevents individuals and couples from accessing information about different fertility options, fertility tracking devices, apps, or fertility treatments.

We gathered some of the most inspiring founders and leaders innovating in this space for our FemTech Untapped event “The rise of fertility tech - novel solutions for better outcomes” when we will be discussing the latest innovations in the fertility space, the current challenges the industry and the patients are experiencing.

But, we recognize that there are so many more out there whom we couldn’t include in the event so we compiled a list of 25 companies innovating in this space. Check out the list below!

4. Proov 

Proov provides a variety of solutions to unleash the power of the menstrual cycle and reproductive hormones, inspiring women to live and feel their best. Proov offers a suite of diagnostics to provide fertility insights throughout the entire menstrual cycle. When paired with the free Proov Insight app, Proov's easy, at-home urine tests provide a science-backed fertility coach right in your hand. First, a woman can measure all of the menstrual hormones daily with Proov tests, then snap a photo of each test within the Insight app. Then, a woman can follow the in-app prompts throughout her cycle to understand ovulation status, get daily insights and an Ovulation Insights score. 6. Selectivity 

Selectivity is a medical technology startup that supports people to access fertility treatment. They create effective, safe, and affordable devices to help you build your family. With their patented technology, Selectivity developed a medical device that allows any OB-GYN to perform a treatment at his/her office without any further requirement (taking treatments outside of the fertility clinics). This technology allowed also the development of the first at-home intrauterine insemination device, enhancing, even more, the access to fertility treatments, decreasing stress, anxiety, fear, time, and costs while improving outcomes.

Parla is on a mission to revolutionise women's reproductive health. They provide easy at-home fertility tests, a science-based plan and access to leading experts.

11. Legacy 

Test, improve, and freeze your sperm from home. Founded by a team of healthcare and fertility experts at Harvard, Legacy is changing outdated views around fertility and family planning by building a digital fertility clinic for men.

12. Natural cycles 

Natural Cycles is the fertility app which allows women to help prevent, plan and monitor pregnancies. Natural Cycles is the world’s first, and only, app to be certified as contraception, and has been shown in clinical studies to be similarly effective as the contraceptive pill. 

13. Ava

16. Natalist 

Natalist offers evidence-based educational resources alongside redesigned fertility and pregnancy essentials. With an emphasis on accessibility for women everywhere, Natalist products are proudly sold in nearly 6,000 retail locations across all 50 US states. The Natalist team believes it is their moral imperative to leave the world a better place for future generations. They launched their Mother Earth sustainability initiative in August 2020, which includes being certified 100% plastic neutral. Natalist was founded by Halle Tecco, a prominent healthcare investor and Founder and former CEO of digital health investment fund, Rock Health.

21. Life Whisperer
