20 companies innovating in maternal and newborn health and wellbeing

Becoming a mother is one of the most beautiful and empowering experiences for some women, but at the same time, it is often an overwhelming one. On average, parents lose 44 nights of sleep in just their first year of parenting and sleep deprivation can have a serious impact on a new mum’s health, and life.

A woman’s body undergoes a major transformation during pregnancy—and an equally major one after labour and delivery. But between caring for their baby’s health, feeding, sleeping, and their development, mums often forget to take care of themselves.

We wanted to investigate how tech innovations can help and support new mothers on their motherhood journey and improve their and their baby’s health and wellness. That’s why our next FemTech Untapped event will be focusing on “Innovation in maternal and newborn health and wellbeing”. We gathered some of the most inspiring founders and leaders innovating in this space, but we recognize that there are so many more out there who we couldn’t include in the event.

That’s why we compiled a list that includes 20 companies whose innovations in maternal and baby health and wellbeing are helping millions of moms to take care of their health and their baby’s health.
